Wine cooler

This Mannerist-inspired wine cooler blends Renaissance, Baroque, and maritime elements, evoking a sense of an ecosystem in transition. At its heart, a grotesque figure emerges from a clam shell, flanked by volutes—one resembling an ammonite.

Between the volutes, pearl-like cartouches are left blank to hold personalized initials. The reverse side showcases intricate detailing of the shell’s back. Created for my final degree show, this piece received the De Laszlo Stone Carving Prize for Outstanding Work.
